When I started karting in 2023, I began recording my races and wanted a stopwatch timer for my footage, but had no idea how to add one. I tried AI apps and telemetry software, but they were complicated to use and the designs were underwhelming. I wanted something F1-inspired and personal to me, so I got creative and started making my own overlays using Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and After Effects.
I didn’t just want overlays that looked good, I wanted ones that would actually make me faster. So I added a sector time graphic and it changed everything for me. I was able to identify my strengths and weaknesses through the power of video editing.
My videos started getting more views, and often had people in the comment section complimenting the overlays and asking how I made them, some even DM’ing me to make overlays for them. That’s when I thought, why not turn my passion into a service, helping other drivers get professional, engaging race videos without the hassle.
I wanted to make a website which allowed you to choose your design and customise it to make it personal to you. Something really simple and easy to use so even the least tech-savvy driver could create professional, F1-inspired overlays with ease.
