Unusable footage is footage that can’t be used because key reference points, such as the start/finish line, are not visible, making it impossible to determine when your lap or sector times start and finish. This may be due to poor resolution, an incorrect camera angle (e.g., tilted too high), or other recording issues.

Unusable Footage only affects Sector Times. They do not affect Lap Time Data & Lap Counter/Countdown. (current/last/best). Just make sure you include your lap times in the upload box!

Usable Footage is footage that can be used for Sector Times and all other overlays.

UNUSABLE FOOTAGE EXAMPLES ❌

  • Kart Not Visible

    Camera is tilted too high or zoomed in too much meaning we can't see when the driver's kart (left/right tire) crosses the start/finish line or sector references

  • POV Too Low

    POV is way too low making it very difficult for us to determine when this driver's kart crosses the start/finish line and/or sector time reference points

  • Too Dark

    The footage is too dark for us to accurately see when the driver crosses the start/finish line or sector reference points. This is caused by a low ISO

  • Low Resolution

    The resolution is too low making it impossible for us to determine when this driver is croses the start/finish line or sector time reference points

Usable Footage EXAMPLES ✅

  • High POV Ultra Wide Angle

    Camera has been mounted on top of the driver's helmet using an adhesive mount. We highly recommend this POV for the most accurate sector times

  • Chin Mount POV

    This driver is using a chin mount. He has also selected the widest angle in his GoPro settings (superview) which is great as it shows the full width of the kart

  • High POV Regular Wide Angle

    Probably most common POV and angle. We highly recommend this POV and angle for the most accurate sector times. Great for content creation!

  • Tall POV

    Although the driver's camera has less of the kart in frame compared to 1 and 3, the front right/left tire remains visible throughout and that's all that matters

3. I've already placed my order but I've just realised my footage is unusable. What now?

We'll try our best to make it work but if there's nothing we can do, we'll issue you a full refund, or we can just remove sector times from your order so you'll have Lap Time Data (current/best/last).

Please note: Shopify does not return the 2% card payment fee to us. We kindly ask that you double-check your order before completing payment, as refunds still incur this fee and result in a loss for us.

4. Does Unusable Footage only apply when you add Sector Times?

Yes. Just Sector Times.

But please ensure you include your Lap Times in the Upload Box!
