What are Sector Times?

Sector Times break your lap into sections, showing how fast each part was completed

This has proven to help drivers identify strengths and weaknesses to improve lap times and race pace

When does the Sector begin?

We start the sector starts the moment a part of your kart crosses the reference point - usually the front left or right tire

It differs for different POVs

How do you calculate it?

Precision

Because these are not official sector times, they won’t be 100% accurate. Each sector has an accuracy of up to 0.03 seconds, which is very minimal. Based on a typical 45-second lap, this means the sector times are roughly 99.8% accurate

Accuracy can be affected by factors such as:

Different camera frame rates , Varying points of view (POVs), The transponder position (as it's at the back of the kart)

Despite this small limitation, Sector Times provide a highly useful guide to track performance, identify strengths and weaknesses, and improve lap times.

Green Sector

Green indicates your fastest personal sector for that section of the track

Yellow Sector

Slower than your personal best for that section of the track

Red Sector

A red sector occurs when it’s unclear exactly when you crossed the reference point, often because you were turned away, looking to the side, behind, or to put it simply, not facing forward enough.

To maintain accuracy, we do not guess when you crossed the reference point. Instead, the lap time is marked as INC (inconclusive) in red to indicate it cannot be reliably measured.

Purple Sector

We do not provide Purple sectors. Unlike Green or Yellow, Purple sectors would require knowing the sector times of every single other drivers in your session. Since we do not have access to this data, it is impossible for us to add purple sectors.

To ensure that sector data remains fair and reliable, we have decided not to include purple sectors as part of our service. This way, every sector time you see is based solely on your own performance, keeping comparisons consistent and meaningful.
